RESEARCH
To get further with our concept, we wanted to compare the given scenario of water in Rotterdam with relation to transportation as this is the aspect we want to focus on for our concept.

We created stakeholder maps for the years 2030 and 2050 to see what the differences were going to be.

STAKEHOLDER MAPS
NOTES FROM THE URGENCY DOCUMENT
- Split the city into a resilient Rotterdam and a suffering Rotterdam

- Makes note of threats of the future (high heats, freezing, heavy rain, rising sea levels)

- Tackle the cause of climate change and adapt to its effects

- Strengthen dikes and create green roofs

- Reduce carbon emissions

- Linking up and collaborating with the whole city (all stakeholders must contribute)

- The RAS is essential for a climate-resilient city (robust system, sewers pumping stations and canals)

- Increase number of properties that don't have an increased risk of flooding

- When implementing a climate adaption programme, take district partners into account
(social housing corporations, project developers, utility operators, businesses and community institutions, foundations and associations)

- Create a program connected to enjoyment, so residents will participate in helping the city
