Using the Extrema app. The app will connect you to use points in the city according to your needs. Creates a path according to the weather conditions and traffic.

HOW WILL IT COPE WITH WEATHER?

The bike will cope with the weather by using the app. The app guides you to a weather-friendly path so you don't get wet for example.

A developing Rotterdam, "resilient", a city where there is a demand for individual freedom but still modern and connected. Based off of the municipality weather-wise prediction of the future.

WHAT SCENARIO ARE WE FOLLOWING? WHAT IS THE NARRATIVE?

WHAT COULD THIS CONCEPT DO FOR THE CITY?

- Avoidance of densely populated bike routes, therefore increasing safety

- Data from the bike routes and the people riding them, ie; which routes are most popular, how many people are riding around the city etc...

- A solution for tracking down stolen bikes

- Avoiding the growth of “bike cemeteries” and the over production of raw materials

WHAT WOULD THE BIKES GIVE TO
THE CITY?

- Individual freedom in a collectively evolving future

- The ability for people to move without the dependence of scheduled transport

- Colour and vibrancy! Bike designs would be made in collaboration with different artists as a way to give back to the community. Bikes in combination with art will give the city a less bland look and will give attention to the growing artist community.

WHAT INSPIRED US TO DO THIS PROJECT?

- We are young students who value and miss the ability to move freely around the city

- Our current situation within the pandemic helps shine a light on what we desire for the future and for future generations

- Lockdown has been eye-opening for realizing how important the freedom to be mobile is.
